DIY: Repaint Your Mailbox

STEP 1: Depending on the amount of paint still left on your mailbox you may want to strip the paint. Using a paint scraper lightly go around the mailbox on all sides removing the paint.

STEP 2: Prime the mailbox. You can use household wall primer available at most local home stores.

STEP 3: Paint your mailbox your choice of base color. My mailbox was originally red so i decided to repaint it red, but brighter. Remember you may have to do more than one coat of paint. I used basic acrylic paint. Also, be sure that your paint is waterproof as a mailbox is outside and will get wet.

STEP 4: PERSONALIZE! BE ORIGINAL!!!! Make sure that your mailbox looks like no one else's.

DON'T FORGET TO LAY NEWSPAPER DOWN!!!

DIY: Short Overalls

Step 1: Buy a pair of pants. You might want to go to the Salvation Army or Goodwill store because you don't want to spend too much money on something that you are just going to cut up.

Cabrini Roy on Youtube will explain how to make your overalls:

Detachable Overalls - Cabrini Roy

Last Step: Personalize your new overalls!!!! Painting with fabric paints or markers can be very cool and will make your overalls very original unlike any others.

Another great idea would be to use old ties as overall straps.

Mine look like:

Cabrini decides to attach her straps in the back.
Mine is similar to a halter top.
I haven't added anything on them yet.

DIY: Yarn bracelets

Friendship bracelets are really cool. They can add a dash of color to any outfit and can make a bare wrist look awesome!

But you know what looks even cooler than string?
Yarn

A yarn bracelets are amazing. They make thicker, stronger, and a lot prettier wrist bands! Here are some I made:
(Not my hand)

When making a yarn bracelet, you can use any design that you would working with regular string. Personally, working with yarn is a lot easier for me! Try it!

Tip
Make sure you double tie each time and check that all your knots are very tight so your bracelet will hold together for a long time.

Have fun with it!

The magic 8 tools to being successful at fixing your messes!

Some basic items that you are going to need...

Please note that you will not need these for all projects, but they are just good to have around.Just in case. They are good for slip-ups or mistakes.

1.Glue Gun~It can fix any of your problems. It's the ultimate crafting tool. All you have to do is plug in and squirt.~Good to have around for breakage, tears, and creating sculptures!

2.Magazine/Newspaper~In general, you can do anything with this. You can cut it up and create something new. Also rolling and folding is fun too!

3.Elmer's Glue~Be original. You decide what to do with it.

4.Nail Polish~ It's the ultimate tool to making your nails look like you went to the salon. And make sure to always...always....always have clear base/top coat to seal the deal or else you will end up with a chipped mani/pedi and that is never good! If your a person who doesn't like nail polish that's cool. Just skip this item please.

5.Tape~OH MY GOSH! Tape is awesome and no...not for it's ability to tape stuff together. It is like laminating something. Clear Scotch packing tape makes it so easy to foe laminate something without having the trouble of going to and Fedex Kinkos and paying a ridiculous amount to laminate 1 piece of paper. Also, duck tape! Don't you forget about duct tape! It is an incredibly awesome tape that is not your everyday tape. It uses strong thread with sticky stuff to mend items. Recently, my art table has been broken and it could not hold anything without collapsing. I discovered it was because of a small crack. I fixed this by wrapping duck tape around the crack tightly and it worked!+

6.Paper~I don't even have to tell you. This one just describes it's self. Where there is a piece of paper, a pencil follows. Always...even in the next room over. ( I really hope you got that because that was said so I don't have to put the obvious on the list.)

7.Baking Ingredients~Flour, Water, Sugar, Milk, Eggs, Confectioners Sugar  etc...,etc...(varies on the recipe)

8.Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust~Remember! Have faith in yourself and in your art. If you don't like it don't be mad get glad!

Feel free to add your own crafting tools to this list if thought necessary. These are just MY basics that I thought YOU could think useful. And if they aren't make your own list. Again please note that you will need more or less tools while doing a certain project. Some will be harder to find. I hoped you enjoyed my insights on my Magic 8 Tools. Thanks For Reading!

Brighten Up Your Home With Not Only Color But Oxegen As Well!

--------------------------My beautiful cactus Allegra from Home Depot-------------------------
All of you out there may need a little something to boost up the level of brightness in your house. Maybe if it's a little drab and there aren't enough colors and you'd like to fix and change that. Recently, I bought a small cactus from Home Depot. Any Home Depot or garden store will have them. I thought cacti was a great way to do that especially since I don't have any house plants and they are easy to take care of. No watering is needed which is great! If I forget I can do it tomorrow. Watering is only needed in the hotter months.

RESEARCH THAT!

I did a little research while I was raising my cactus and found out from Health magazine that chemicals are created from material, furniture, and even air freshening items! And if you are paying money for those fresheners you are being scammed because all they do is make your home more toxic. Plants can freshen your home non-toxically!  Health Magazine states,“Houseplants give off oxygen and help remove chemicals like formaldehyde, a common indoor vapor that can cause respiratory and neurological problems, as well as cancer," they say. I bet you didn't know air toxins could create cancer (life threatening)!

Thus I came to a conclusion, which comes to show if you have a little more green you are more likely to live a happier and healthier life.

DIY: Aztec and Splatter Paint Nails.Together?

NOTE: In order to create this beautiful nail art you need stripers and dotting tools.

Recently, meaning the other day I saw on Instagram a picture of an Aztec nail print. I figured I would try it. I couldn't be that bad at it. So I decided I would and I did. Comment on how I did please. I would like constructive criticism only.

STEP 1: Pick a solid color to be your base coat. I chose two colors. Even though you can't see it a lot, It may come in handy.

STEP 2: With your black striper draw a line from one end of the nail to the next.

STEP 3: This is where you can have a little fun. Pick a few colors that you think look good together, but make sure they are on the darker side of the color wheel with a more earthy feel.

STEP 4: Use the stripers and dotting tools to create and Aztec feel. I don't think giving so many steps is fun so feel free to step away from the boundaries of steps.

So basically what happened when I got to the other hand is that I realized I couldn't do all of this detail unless I was super talented with my left hand. So... what I did was I used the same colors for base at the other hand and went crazy.

STEP 1: Remember to use the same color for base.

STEP 2: Use your dotting tools with every neon bright color you have and press lightly onto your dries nail to create a splatter feel.

STEP 3: Go crazy with color. Because I didn't search this up or anything I think of this one as my own idea.

NOTE: In-between the base and additional steps just remember to let the base dry or else you will end up with really messy nails.

Happy Crafting!:)
