Get two pieces of fleece from your local fabric store.Any color and size will do. It depends on the size of the person. I recommend 3 square feet or 6 square feet.The choice is up to you to decide.Make sure each piece of fleece is the same size.Step 1:Put one fleece on top of the other.Step 2:Then cut lines 1 inch up.Step 3: Leave 1 inch across.Repeat steps 2 and 3. When finished cutting the perimeter of the fleeces, tie the inch rectangles together as shown below. This project can make a great gift for a baby shower, birthday, and house warming! I have one of these! My grandmother made it for me, and it looks really nice. She used one patterned piece and one plain piece, both blues, which I think works really well.

Ya you can use any type of fleece you want. Use contrasting colors to be original if you want!
